Bündnis Nachhaltigkeit Bayern - Alliance Sustainability Bavaria

The "Bündnis Nachhaltigkeit Bayern" (BNB) (Sustainability Alliance of Bavaria), a coalition of Bavarian economic, social and environmental organisations, lobbies the Bavarian Government to increase its efforts to transition to new energy sources. The BNB expects that by the year 2016 it is realistic for 50% of supplies to come from renewable sources.

CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation is an international alliance dedicated to strengthening citizen action and civil society throughout the world. Its vision is a worldwide community of informed, inspired, committed citizens engaged in confronting the challenges facing humanity. CIVICUS seeks to amplify the voices and opinions of ordinary people.

Climate-Alliance Germany

The Climate-Alliance Germany makes it clear, with help from their 110 plus members, that climate protection is of central concern to our society. The focus of the Alliances work is lobbying and encouragement and organisation of debates and common actions and events. Every year the Climate Alliance of Germany organises the Alternative Energy Summit and the International Climate Action Day.

Financial Transaction Tax Now!

The Europe-wide Campaign FINANCIAL TRANSACTION TAX NOW!, sponsored by a vast movement of unions, political and civil society organizations, wants to operate as voice of the European citizens. The success of an implementation of the tax depends on the will of the ministers of finance of the member states, which are negotiating on this topic in the Council of Europe. The campaign puts pressure on the accomplishment of the tax via content claims and e-mail actions.

The Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations

The Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship is an independent, international, non-profit membership association of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It facilitates the participation of NGOs in United Nations debates and decision-making. CONGO is most active at the major UN centers of New York, Geneva and Vienna but its work stretches out to all regions of the world.

The Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP)

The Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) is a growing alliance that brings together trade unions, INGOs, the women's and youth movements, community and faith groups and others to call for action from world leaders in the global North and South to meet their promises to end poverty and inequality. GCAP opens up civil society space, organises global mass mobilisations and makes  ordinary peoples voices heard.

UBUNTU - World Forum of Civil Society Networks

UBUNTU - World Forum of Civil Society Network is intended as a network of networks, an organisation of organisations, where united yet diverse, these actors can jointly weave structures and forums of opinion aimed at promoting the principles and values which sustain democratic life. Ubuntu is an age-old African term for humaneness - for caring, sharing and being in harmony with all of creation.
